Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Ibex Insights is committed to digital accessibility for everyone. This statement describes the standard we follow, the measures we take, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.

1. Our commitment

Ibex Insights is committed to making ibexinsights.co and our free public data tool accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We believe that public higher-education data should be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies.

2. Conformance standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognised standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, and the EU Web Accessibility Directive / EN 301 549. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and we continue to test and improve the site against these criteria.

3. Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, headings, and lists so screen readers can navigate the page structure;
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and ARIA labels for icon-only controls;
  • Keyboard operability for menus, dialogs, and the data tool, with a visible focus state;
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds for text and interactive elements;
  • A responsive layout that reflows without loss of content down to small screens and at high zoom;
  • Accessibility considered as part of our design and review process for new pages.

4. Accessibility features in the data tool

Charts in the data tool are paired with the underlying numbers in text and in accessible tables, so information is not conveyed by colour or visuals alone. Interactive filters and comparisons are reachable and operable by keyboard.

5. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Certain third-party embeds, older blog media, and complex data visualisations may have gaps we are actively working to close. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — your feedback helps us prioritise fixes.

6. Feedback & getting help

If you have difficulty accessing any part of this site, or need information provided in an alternative format, contact us at team@ibexinsights.co and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need. We aim to respond within five business days.
